Accra, Ghana – Accra Hearts of Oak are mourning the death of a passionate fan who sadly passed away on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
William Nii Laryea during the Phobians match against Kpando Hearts of Lions in the 2024 Homowo Peace Charity Cup after suffering what health officials have described as cardiac arrest.
The deceased was a passionate fan of the continental club masters who followed the club around the country during matchdays and other activities.
In a statement issued on Monday, Accra Hearts of Oak said, “his departure to eternity will not only affect his immediate family but also, we as a club since we will lose his unflinching support and the passion with which he followed the club”.
According to the Accra based club, the phobians will liaise with the deceased family to give the late staunch supporter a befitting funeral.
Meanwhile, family of the late William Nii Laryea are yet to announce his funeral arrangements to the general public.
