Akuampen North, Ghana – Former Ghana national team captain, Asamoah Gyan on Saturday joined New Patriotic Party Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on a health walk dubbed, Ofie Mega Walk at Akuapen North.
The walk, which brought together thousands of NPP sympathizers was aimed at promoting healthy living and rallying support for the New Patriotic Party ahead of the December polls this year.
Asamoah Gyan was seen in viral videos and pictures walking alongside Ghana’s vice president and shaking hands of supporters along the route.
In audience granted to Ghmailonline.com’s Philimon Ashirifie Ofei on the sidelines of the health walk, the former Ghana international said the NPP’s presidential candidate believes and trust the youth, a case of which Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia appointed him as the chairman of the NPP’s sports manifesto committee.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd at Akuapem North, Dr. Bawumia reiterated his commitment to create more jobs for for the increasing Ghanaian Youth when voted into officer.
He affirmed his desire to equip the youth with digital skills that will subsequently generate into millions of jobs to harness Ghana’s development.
