Kumasi, Ghana – The National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament for Asawase, Honorable Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka on Sunday launched his campaign ahead of the December polls this year.
The event which was attended by thousands of NDC sympathizers also saw party bigwigs such as MP for Tamale South, Haruna Iddrisu, Madina MP, Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu among other high-powered delegation joined the veteran Asawase Legislature to officially launched the NDC campaign in the constituency.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd in Kumasi, Haruna Iddrisu said the NDC is working hard to obtain at least 35% of votes in the Ashanti Region, a feat which he believes will deliver victory to party flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.
He urged the electorates to be vigilant during the polls and vote massively for the national democratic congress for a better Ghana.

On his part, Honorable Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka reiterated that the New Patriotic Party’s ambition to win the Asawase seat will forever remain a dream.
He encouraged the party supporters to remain at the polling centers after casting their votes until every vote is counted and declared.
The former Minority Chief Whip was optimistic of retaining the Asawase seat for the National Democratic Congress and called for unity before, during and after the December 7, elections.
