Hilda Baci could barely contain her excitement as she unveiled her Guinness World Records certificate to her fans.
The Nigerian chef took the world by storm when she claimed the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual) with an impressive time of 93 hours 11 minutes.
The 27-year-old was watched by countless people around the globe as she live-streamed her efforts.
She was also joined in person throughout her marathon, with crowds of people lining up to show her some encouragement.

And people were so impressed with what they saw, that we received a surge of applications for the record with many desperate to emulate her success.
Hilda cried tears of joy when she received news from us that her record attempt was successful, sharing the moment with her devoted army of fans in an emotional Instagram story.
Now, she’s let her followers in on another special moment as she unboxed her official GWR certificate.
“I’m Officially Amazing,” she exclaimed as she held up a folder emblazoned with our tagline before showing her certificate to the camera.

This record was previously held by Lata Tondon (India) with a time of 87 hours 45 minutes.
Hilda wanted to challenge it to “put Nigeran cuisine on the map” and “to inspire young African women to chase their dreams”.
If the response to her record so far is anything to go by, it seems she’s certainly achieved what she set out to do.

Throughout her live broadcast, Hilda was joined by others who cheered her on and congratulated her on her incredible achievement.

Hilda, whose full name is Hilda Effiong Bassey, set her record between Thursday 11 May and Monday 15 May.
She cooked over 100 pots of food, which were handed out to members of the public who came along to watch her efforts, with any leftovers donated to the Festus Fajemilo Foundation.

Hilda actually cooked for 100 hours, but almost seven hours were deducted from the final total due to her taking extra minutes for one of her rest breaks early on.
Participants of ‘longest marathon’ records are permitted a five-minute rest break for every continuous hour of activity, and these can be accumulated if not taken every hour. It’s only in these times that Hilda was permitted to use the bathroom or sleep during her attempt.
